Sherrie Dodson

Sherrie Dodson is a native of Maryland. She received Christ as her Savior at the age of 10. Her life was deeply impacted through summer teen camps, where God’s will became the greatest desire of her heart. She went on to college and finished her education at Frostburg State University with a degree in Social Work / Sociology. She went on a first cross-cultural mission trip while in college. This experience was life-changing and brought a great desire for further missions. She went on various short-term mission trips after that and always sensed the Lord’s leading to live in her hometown and be part of His mission there.
While listening to missionaries share in her home church many years later, she was challenged to offer God her Social Work degree to use in cross-cultural missions. After much prayer and seeking God’s direction, He made the way clear to serve through World Gospel Mission on the Tohono O’odham Nation in southern Arizona. She is currently serving as a counselor for one of the tribal programs. God has placed in her heart a desire for this Native American nation and its people. She is working alongside of the local church to see Christ bring transformation and a genuine move of His presence.
